2015 Mocksville Christmas Parade Date and Time

2015 Mocksville Christmas Parade Date and Time
Folks who are looking for a fun Christmas parade can find one rolling down Main Street in Mocksville, North Carolina from 2:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, November 21, 2015. This year's parade theme is "Plowin' Through the Holidays." In case you missed it, feel free to visit my article with 2015 pictures of the parade.

The parade features a nice variety of local schools, businesses, and individuals. My kids say the candy makes the parade; yes, Davie, there will be candy. You might even see a few beds from the previous night's Once Upon a Bed race. This year's theme calls for a few of the county's tractors that rolled down the same street in July for the 4th of July tractor parade. Vintage cars that are displayed at Mocksville's Cruise Ins are likely to be seen in the parade as well. Lots of spectators particularly like the live animals.

If you have never been to Mocksville, perhaps you could make an entire day of it, staying until after dark to enjoy the beautifully illuminated town, whose lit oak trees can be seen for miles around. This year is a bit bittersweet as the town had to remove two of the four beloved oaks on the square due to disease; however, the quaint Christmas spirit is contagious in this small Piedmont town in Davie Count that claims that they are "time well spent."

Area businesses and homes adorn the area with white lights. Kudos to the one who worked many hours to repair the clock atop the court house that helps to add to the Norman Rockwell feel of Main Street. Davie County offers several walking trails, parks, libraries, and museums.
