Welcome to Travel NC With Kids!

Travel North Carolina With Kids – Cowgirls at Tweetsie Railroad ©Katrena
I have enjoyed living in North Carolina all my life and have seen much of this beautiful state. We have loads of perks here in Tarheel Country. Head east to enjoy the coast. Go west and the mountains will meet you. And travelers can find a great variety of places to see and enjoy in the Piedmont and Foothills in between.

After having three children, I am delighted that they also love to travel. We've gone to state parks and amusement parks. We've watched hot air balloons as they fill the sky and have explored a cavern beneath the hills. We've fed a Watusi and a giraffe and have explored several museums in the state. The girls have tried out loads of playgrounds and have also enjoyed a great variety of plays and outdoor dramas. It seems like there is always something fun and exciting to do in and around North Carolina.

We would like to share bits and pieces of our travels with others and hope that readers will find helpful hints and great suggestions along the way. So come on...hop in my Cavalier and let's go. I've traveled over 300,000 miles in my Chevy and most of them have been in North Carolina...it's probably good for another 300,000 miles before we run out of traveling ideas!
